Meadow Hay Box

Quality product delivered swiftly. Guinea pigs love it.

Sadly, the quality of the last two orders of meadow hay I've received have been of much lower quality than I would expect from Haybox. Two of the bags were not full, and the hay has been extremely dusty and contains lots of long, dry stalks. My piggies have been barely picking at it and I've been throwing most of it away. Hoping the quality improves soon or I'll need to look elsewhere for meadow hay.

My pigs love the hay. Always eating and playing in it and it is always reliable and good with delivery. However, it did give my pigs hay mites and I had to throw out half my 10kg and there’s sometimes random pieces of blue rope, but if found it isn’t a problem. Sometimes, the condition of the hay differs depending on weather etc but largely it’s good

Been subscribed for about 3 months now to this hay, the quality can vary each month as my 2nd bag was very dusty and appeared to have slightly less hay in, however i cant really fault them on that its just something to take into consideration. It is a good quality hay and both my rabbits enjoy it

Our last purchase we bought the 2 packs of 5kg of meadow hay and both were full of dust barely lasted us a month. When you buy the single 5kg it's better quality. I don't want to be sceptical but it feels like they purposely give the dusty ones in the multi buy so you go through them quicker. Never had an issue of quality before we choose multi buy. Anyway guineas are happy once more and so are we with haybox.

My rabbits still aren't sure about the hay, new to them although one Squirrel seems to enjoy it. I haven't convinced Moose yet. Love the look and smell of it as a human, it seems top quality. Im glad I ordered now, and if I can convince Moose I'll keep the subscription

The bags used to be full and almost vaccumed packed - now they have a huge gap at the top of the bag and the hay doesnt last half as long as it used to despite the price! I’m really disappointed with this, my subscription times haven’t changed yet every month I now have to re order early as I keep running out!!

The meadow hay, this time, is cut very, very short. It's almost like chaff. The pieces are nicely green but only around 3cms in length. It is also quite dusty compared to other hay I have had from you. Rather disappointing.

Lovely hay, soft, smells really nice and the guinea pigs love eating it! Only thing I would change is having the strands a bit longer so the piggies can burrow underneath it more easily.

The hay supplied was packed really well and arrived in good condition, despite the delivery driver leaving the box in the rain, the day after the scheduled delivery date.

Quite a lot of straw in this batch, so not up to your usual standard.

The box I originally ordered didn't arrive, however I contacted Customer Services and communicated with a very helpful Sam. A new box was dispatched and arrived promptly, and the original missing box turned up on the same day! Sam was very apologetic, polite and I was advised to keep the additional box received as an apology. My piggies love the hay and I would order from Haybox again

I am dissapointed by the colour and dust in this batch. I have raised it however all customer service say is it happened with natural hay however it’s not cheap so I would think the quality checks would be better.

I have been buying from Haybox for a long time and i have to say this is the 1st box of hay that wasn't that soft as the usual meadow hay that i buy from you it's more like timothy hay and the guineapigs aren't to keen on it either so i had to go pets at home to buy some meadow hay from there..It is ashame as usually it is really good hay..

Why do you show it in a plastic bag but yet when it arrives there is no bag it’s just in the box ! This is not what’s advertised and causes an issue for us, this is the third box that’s come this way, I’m not happy and maybe cancelling my subscription

Normally an amazing service, we've used haybox for years. However this time only one box (10kg) was delivered, instead of 2. Messaged twice since the delivery and no response. Considering going elsewhere.

The quality of my second delivery was excellent. No short stalks and the piggies love their new bedding!

Usually I and the pigs love this hay but got to be honest I am using a lot more than I ever used to due to the hay being very short and lots of waste and hay dust. I'm losing about 3 inches in the bottom of the old hay box sizes per bag. Too short and dusty to use. It is getting in the pigs' eyes and just very dusty. Also costing me a lot more more frequently. Overall I wish I could say it was better but lots of dust and too short compared to normal sorry

Your meadow hay has gone down in quality significantly since I started buying it in 2018. And since you changed the packaging for it last year (or the before), it has been awfully short and broken and with a large quantity of dust. This year, in particular, it has been AWFUL - it is, I would guess now approx 80% timothy and no longer a good mix of grass varieties, and the worst thing, that is making me seriously consider changing who I buy my hay from, is that it is now over 50% dust. My rabbit stopped eating your timothy hay after you'd changed the packaging, despite the fact that I pay extra for the "hand-packed" which suggests to me that there is something she can smell in this new tim hay that is not good. And now she can barely eat the meadow hay because most of it is too short to be of any browsing interest. Certainly over 40% of the 5kg bag is fit for nothing else but using as a base in the litter tray. It is not feeding hay. It is dust.
