Rabbits require a diet of at least 80-90% of good quality nutritious hay, with the remainder being a mix of pellets, fruit, veg & herbs.

We LOVE HayBox! It took trial and error trying to find the right hay for my house buns, then I came across HayBox and opted for meadow hay. My 2 absolute love it The quality is just incredible, it’s Green, lush, dust free and fresh. It’s also packed super easily (we get the 10kg box). The pre packed meadow hay is okay but there is always a lot of debris and dust at the end of the package. A bit disappointing really as your hay used to be second to none.

Only hay my bunnies will eat. Any bought from the store, they will just use for toileting and not actually eat. Smells and looks fresh. Those bought from stores tend to look more like straw.

My adult dwarf lop and lion head both love this hay. Our local pet store seems to have given up catering for small furries and only selling bales in horse- sized quantities so we tried a sample box from haybox and started a regular order for their favoured blend. when i received my hay i was very disappointed. there was more brown than green i complained to haybox and also sent a photo the reply was that it alright and the brown was still nutritious. this is what i found out, as hay ages and turns from green to brown it loses nutrition i have no intention of feeding brown hay to my guinea pigs i would not eat food that had turned brown with age so why would i feed my guinea pigs brown hay. it went in my recycle bin. customer service nil.

Have used Haybox now for about 4 /5 years and wouldn’t use anyone else. Guinea pigs love all of the different types of hay from there but their favourite is the Orchard Hay. They love the plantain and other treats also. Customer service is second to none. They go above and beyond to please and help and you’re always kept up to date with delivery details. Used to be so much better, it says no dust but yet the bags now come with dust, and a lot of the hay is chopped down super small, I used to be able to see the extra quality I was paying for but these days I’m not sure why I’m paying so much more that the pet shop for the same quality item, I will be looking into another supplier if there is any

my two love this hay! i was advised by my vet bubbles may have hay fever (hilarious) so suggested i soak the hay in water, however, i wanted to see if there was an easier solution. my work colleague recommended haybox to me & i saw the meadow hay was dust free so i thought i might as well try it. this is my second order now & bubbles’ sneezing/heavy breathing has reduced drastically. will continue to purchase.

Unfortunately since you've changed your packaging the hay I have received (Meadow and Timothy, both the compressed and the hand packed) has been very short and dusty, making it more like 'chaff' than hay, I have to say I'm seriously looking at another supplier of hay for my pets. Both of them are not as keen on the hay as they once were when the strands were longer.

I have tried several different hays from you. My older rabbit who is 12 years old he is getting fussy in his old age tends to eat his favourite bits and leave the rest. So there is a lot of waste from him the other one likes the meadow hay the best there is no waste

We feel that the quality of the meadow hay has gone down. The strands are really short in the main which means lots is lost as it falls out of the rick and our rabbit much prefers the longer strands to munch on so she sort of pulls out the little bits with her front feet til she finds what she wants so we lose double!
