I was concerned as to why the delivery service has changed from DPD to a company called DX. i am afraid they are no where near as efficient as DPD. my last order was put together on a Monday and it was Thursday before i received it.

I’ve ordered this hay for years and has always been great. The past two deliveries however, the box seems different. It doesn’t fold out, instead it opens out at the top. I prefer the box where I can reclose it so it keeps the hay fresh.

1st thing is the quality is amazing, fresh, Green and sweet smelling.
I’m a hay fever sufferer and have had no issues.
Decided on the 2.5kg mixed blend bale as it’s a nice balance of what she likes.
It arrived in 48hrs, tracking info was spot on.
Arelle couldn’t wait to start!
Will be subscribing, ok so its not cheap but it’s gourmet hay compared to the dry brown bales I’ve bought from Pets and Home and other pet food stores.

This is not a blend hay. These hays better for goats or cattles rather then guinea pigs.

We’ve previously ordered the mixed hay blend for our rabbits and have always been happy with it, but this recent order has been disappointing.
The hay arrived in a different box — smaller but taller than the original packaging. Unfortunately, the new design makes it much harder to keep the hay fresh, as it doesn’t close as securely as the previous box did. The original packaging was much more practical for storage.
We also noticed there seems to be a lot more dead hay in this batch, which we haven’t experienced before. The quality doesn’t feel as consistent as previous orders.
We’ve been happy in the past, so we’re hoping this is just a one-off, but the packaging and quality changes have definitely been noticeable.

Haybox is by far the best hay out there, I’ve been using it for five years now and never had an issue. Hay is always fresh and green and long strands. I’ve tried many other online brands and never have got the same quality as this, it’s always brown and stringy! Hello,
I hope you are well.
I am writing regarding my recent order of Timothy hay blend. When placing the order, I was informed that the blend would include soft Timothy hay along with coarse long stems .
However, the item I received contains only long, coarse-cut stems. There is no soft Timothy hay at all, and it does not appear to be a blend as described on your website or explained to me at the time of ordering.
As I ordered this specifically for my rabbits, the texture is important, and unfortunately this product does not match what was advertised.
I would appreciate it if you could please:
- Confirm whether this was a packing error, and
- Advise on a replacement with the correct Timothy hay blend or an appropriate refund.
I have always trusted HayBox for quality products, so I hope this can be resolved promptly.

I regularly order this hay as it has long strands and lots of seed heads which my guinea pigs love. Unfortunately I have been disappointed with this box. It is full of grass seeds which are really sharp and I’m worried about them getting into ears, eyes etc as they’ve been getting stuck in bedding and clothing.
I understand that hay is a natural product and these things happen, however, I would have expected some level of quality control, especially as this is sold as “hand packed”.

They hay it’s self is great! As is the price and service from Haybox.. The only issue I have is that, I had a subscription and the delivery company kept leaving it outside despite me leaving a note with them on their tracking so the hay kept getting wet from the rain.. But this is something Haybox have no control over! So it’s a 5 star review for Haybox it’s self as I can’t fault the service/product from them

Well at first i didn’t think my rabbit liked it. Its alot more coarse than what hes used to. But it was lovely and green and fresh looking. Took him a few days to get used to it. The vet advised me to buy hay from Hay Box because his teeth were getting a little sharp at the back. Now he loves it. So thanks Hay Box. Hes munching on it now ☺️

I very much like the Timothy hay blend, but the experience from the DX delivery service is extremely poor. The hay was supposed to be delivered 2 days ago but never arrived, even though they said it was out for delivery. Your previous courier was much better because you could rely on it arriving promptly within 2 to 3 days. DX delivered late last time we ordered as well, which is difficult if you are out at work on certain days of the week and there is a risk of the boxes getting soaked with rain!

It is supposed to be a mix of timothy hay and meadow hay, all I can find in it is extremely long strands of timothy hay, far too long and stalky for my guinea pigs.
Had to throw most of it away and mix what bits were left myself.

My bunnies love your hay, and we have been buying hay from you for years.
Just recently I find I am waiting a long time for order fulfilment and delivery. This is a real change from when we first began using Haybox 4 years ago. I don't have space to store more than one box at a time but I am having to order way ahead of time because it's taking ages to arrive from when an order is placed.
It makes it very difficult and feels unreliable. I don't want to buy our hay elsewhere but I am starting to consider it.

Hi I still have not even received my products from Haybox. The hay is always of good quality but since changing currier delivery time has become uncertain and there is no proper communication from DX the new delivery service Haybox is using. The last time this also arrived very late and they just leave my hay outside. I'm happy to pay for good quality hay from Haybox but if this doesn't change I may need to look for a new provider.
