Timothy Soft Cut Hay Box
Soft cut is perfect for fussy eaters, its a real gourmet hay! It has very few stems and more of those luscious leaves. Perfect to feed on its own or to mix with our other hays. If you're looking for something with a bit more coarse with more stems, we suggest opting for our ‘Timothy Blend’ or 'Timothy Coarse Cut' instead.

* There is natural batch to batch variation with all hays but our soft cut is particularly difficult to perfect, so if your little ones have a specific preference, do please get in touch for a detailed description of the current harvest. The cut of this hay can vary from 100% soft to a mix of leaf and stem, depending on Mother Nature and the weather!

Rabbits require a diet of at least 80-90% of good quality nutritious hay, with the remainder being a mix of pellets, fruit, veg & herbs.

Next day delivery, which I did not expect, but was pleasantly surprised. Also the customer service was amazing as I order it in the wrong address, and it was fixed straight away by a team member. My buns love the hay, have been buying it for 3 years already. Really disappointed. Ordered 2 x 5kg bags soft cut. Obviously there will be seasonal variation but this latest batch was very poor. One bag was ok, more brown grass than I would have liked but fair enough. The other has been virtually totally brown, virtually so soft green leaves. Bunnies seem to be hungrier than usual on it. Sorry but I’ll be going elsewhere from now on.

It used to be a premium hay - green, fresh with many straws and leaves. The last few orders that i got it is brown, moldy, smells bad, dusty and almost no straws in the box just tiny leave cuts. I was hoping to see hay like the website picture, in a box.
The 'new, packed by hand' page says it does timothy soft cut. I know it does Timothy Hard cut because we have had it. The hay is lovely, but too hard for my boys to enjoy. They leave most of it, and don't even play with it.
They love Meadow Hay, but they can only get that mascerated into a plastic bag so there's at least 10% wasted at the bottom as all the dust and fine bits filter through the hay as I hand it out to the boys each evening, where they rush through it, lie on it, snuggle in it, and even eat it, enthusiastically.
This soft cut timothy looks just like the meadow hay, including being packed into a bag with accompanying waste. But the boys do like it. I can't tell the difference, and I don't think they can either. If it wasnt labeled Timothy, soft cut, I'd think it was meadow hay.
If we don't get hand-packed meadow hay soon I'll be off to a new supplier.

Unfortunately since I have moved house in February you have failed to deliver to the correct address, meaning that each time I have had to go back to my previous address to get it. I still haven’t been able to get my most recent delivery. I have updated my address repeatedly but it doesn’t seem to reset it. Needless to say I’m annoyed and frustrated

I'm really disappointed with the soft cut hay... Have one fussy rabbit will only eat this hay used this company for 4 years but last few times the hay is Full of some sharp thick brown weed and it's just not a little.. my rabbit is not eating the hay any more last 2 batches...
I really do want to place a order but so worried can you please give a update on what your soft hay is like at the momment please

Normally this soft cut hay is lovely but the bag I have just opened has a lot of hard strands that look more like straw in it, because of these my rabbits are not eating much of it ☹️

Seems like the quality is not as good as it used to be. Quite a lot of clumped hay which has a musty smell. The bits that aren't stuck together and clumped are fine.

Full of some sharp thick brown weed and soil the last few batches, this is what is sold by weight. I wanted to order Timothy hay and not some potentially poisonous weed and soil for my rabbits. Any quality control in place at all? Nothing by the looks of it.

I have a bonded pair who sometimes get a bit chasey when I put fresh hay in but with the soft cut they're so occupied trying to eat it they don't bother chasing each other. They'll choose soft cut hay over their usual favourites like dandelions and plantain. They will actually walk past dried forage to get to the softcut hay, which is extremely out of character as they love forage more than anything in the world.

The only surprising thing is the boxes you are packing the hay into. You've gone from normal boxes, then you went to half size boxes with compressed hay, and now your sending it in huge cardboard boxes 3 times the size of the contents. All this packaging has to be disposed of, and whilst it can be recycled, it does cause problems in trying to get the refuse collectors to take such vast amounts of cardboard. Please stop sending it in gigantic boxes that really isn't justified for the contents.

The hay is excellent, however some of the delivery drivers leave a lot to be desired. One of the courier companies seems to have no respect for the parcels they deliver and have had more than one recently that has been damaged
