Timothy Soft Cut Hay Box
Soft cut is perfect for fussy eaters, its a real gourmet hay! It has very few stems and more of those luscious leaves. Perfect to feed on its own or to mix with our other hays. If you're looking for something with a bit more coarse with more stems, we suggest opting for our ‘Timothy Blend’ or 'Timothy Coarse Cut' instead.

* There is natural batch to batch variation with all hays but our soft cut is particularly difficult to perfect, so if your little ones have a specific preference, do please get in touch for a detailed description of the current harvest. The cut of this hay can vary from 100% soft to a mix of leaf and stem, depending on Mother Nature and the weather!

Rabbits require a diet of at least 80-90% of good quality nutritious hay, with the remainder being a mix of pellets, fruit, veg & herbs.

Nice soft hay for my older bunnies. A good amount of hay although the
box size is a bit cumbersome for storage.
The box was damaged in transit and needed tape to repair the holes to stop hay going everywhere.

When I give this 5 stars, obviously I haven't personally chewed my way through a mangerful, but my Imperial Cavey Master assures me that it is delicious, nutritious and is keeping his elderly teefs and tummy in good order.

Have purchased soft cut hay before and it was lovely strands that my bun enjoyed. This box is dull of shirt dusty bits that just cover the carpet needing vacuuming twice daily as its so small and so messy. I dont think ill purchase again, my bun isn't enjoying the small bits as much as the long bits we usually get

I have been buying my guiena pigs hay from haybox for a number of years now. All the piggies and rabbits love the hay, it smells lovely when you open the box. However the courier leaves a lot to be desired, they pin pointed my house to somewhere down the road who didnt have it so went to another house wherd it was left on doorstep, then had to carry it home, not easy for a 69yr old lady as I always gave a 10kg box. Product is great but the courier is terrible.

The last couple of boxes have been completely different to what I’ve previously received for soft cut. The hay recently has resembled grass cuttings rather than hay. My rabbits have always loved the soft cut but haven’t been too keen recently.

Used haybox for years for my pigs, in the last few months ive had two delivery of soft cut hay bags full of dust and just tiny bits. Unsure whats happened to the quality but i would reccomend either going for their mixed blend or search elsewhere for the moment for a softer cut.

There seems to be a lot of very thin stringy hay amongst some thicker strands. The Guinea pigs won’t touch it. I don’t know whether it’s due to when it was harvested. It hasn’t happened before.

Been buying soft cut Timothy hay from haybox for years but this last batch i just received wasn't very good quality, it was very dusty, damp and just in tiny bits, no long strands and when put in my guinea pigs cage it was just flat and wouldn't fluff up like it usually does so my guinea pigs can hide in it. I will order again in the hope this is just a one off, but if the quality is still bad I will be looking else where.

Normally my rabbits love this hay but this box seems like all the left overs. For example there is no long bits of hay, it’s all really short dusty bits. Reminds of the hay I always have left in the bottom of the box.

This delivery had lots of spiky, hard thorns or dried buds (not sure which) on twigs. They spiked my fingers so I was worried they would hurt the guineapigs if they tried to eat them.

Hay is dusty and alot of brown hay, does not smell fresh as the Timothy Mix hay I usually order. I suppose this is due to hay from last year's harvest? I shall not be ordering the soft cut hay again until later in the year after a fresh harvest.
